FREE teaching resource for lesson or tutor time

Thursday 24th April is World Day for Laboratory Animals, a day originally started in 1979 to commemorate the lives of laboratory animals.

We have produced a short PowerPoint Presentation for teachers to use with students. It contains a short video, a quiz, and some extension activity ideas to help students learn about the use of animals in research today and the alternative research methods that are helping to replace animals. 

 This resource is aimed at students aged 11-16 (Key stages 3&4) and could be used in:

• Tutor time
• Science, citizenship or PSHE lessons as a starter activity
• Assemblies
